Macclesfield Bag Former Kilmarnock Defender Alex Bruce

Macclesfield have announced the signing of highly experienced defender Alex Stephen Bruce.
Bruce, who announced his retirement from football last year in November, has once again returned to action as he joins the North West Counties Premier Division side Macclesfield as a player. Bruce will be able to play for the club in addition to his responsibilities as a mentor for the first-team.
The 36-year-old defender’s last stint was with Kilmarnock in the 2019/20 season before he retired after racking up a total of 300 appearances professionally. His CV includes successful spells with several clubs such as Birmingham City, Oldham Athletic, Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Hull City, Wigan Athletic, and more.
