Chesterfield Out Of The Running For The FA Trophy

Chesterfield FC have withdrawn from this season’s running for the FA Trophy due to a number of positive Covid cases that were reported from the Spireites squad. Subsequently, Chesterfield’s fixture against Guiseley that was initially scheduled to take place at the Technique Stadium this Saturday has now been called off. As a result, Guiseley automatically progresses to the fourth round of the competition. Chesterfield was forced to withdraw from the competition last year as well due to the same reason and now we are seeing history repeating itself once again. The club has stated that an announcement regarding refunds for tickets purchased for the Saturday fixture will be made soon.
