Sunderland forward Benji Kimpioka will be making his way to Plainmoor Stadium as he joins Torquay United on loan for the remainder of the season.

Following a hamstring injury, Kimpioka had to stay off the field for most of the current season. Fortunately, the 21-year-old former Sweden national under-21 player made a full recovery and returned to action earlier this month. He was part of the victory against Tranmere Rovers on Sunday in the EFL Trophy final.

It was when he was injured when he first caught the attention of the management at Torquay when their coach Lee Johnson moved to Sunderland. The addition of the Sunderland youngster will strengthen their striking options as they look to gain a promotion.
