2020 FA Trophy finalists Concord Rangers are in the search for a new chairman as current chairman Antony Smith has resigned from the position after spending nearly 21 years at the helm.

Smith explained the reason for his departure in a statement: “The past few months and days have taken their toll on me personally and my love of the game has dwindled.”

Over the years, Smith saw the Beach Boys overcome numerous challenges including his proudest moment when they overcame the odds to gain promotion from the Essex Senior League.

Smith leaves the Rangers in good financial conditions with a healthy cash reserve and no debts and has assured the fans that he will continue to support the club financially.
