Southend United manager Philip Brown has still not lost hope of experienced winger Ricky Holmes’s return to Roots Hall next season.

The former Charlton Athletic striker made 14 appearances for the Shrimpers last season and boss Philip Brown hopes that he will make more in the season to come. Brown is optimistic about his side’s potential for success and is counting on Holmes to not leave the club for a better offer.

Unfortunately, Southend had to face relegation twice in the past two years which is why they might not be able to offer a good deal to Holmes.
