Following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Bromley, Barnet manager Harry Kewell has been sacked by the National League club, after only seven games in charge.

The Bees have endured a tough start to the season, losing five of their first seven matches which means that they are yet to score a win on the league board this season. These back-to-back defeats under Kewell’s management have left Barnet at the bottom of the league standings just above Dover Athletic.

Departing Canons Park alongside Kewell is his assistant manager Paul Butler who has also been sacked.

Head of Football Dean Brennan will be taking over as interim manager of the Bees until the club finds a suitable replacement for Kewell.
