Cray Wanderers boss Tony Russell resigns

Following two suspended seasons due to COVID-19, Cray Wanderers manager Tony Russel has decided to resign from his position. Joining him on his departure from Hayes Lane is assistant manager Joe Wines.
Personal matters and their frustration over the suspensions have played a key role in their decision to leave the club.
Tony Russel has led the Wands as manager for six seasons during which the club saw an overturn of fortune under his guidance. The club bounced back from seasons in which they struggled to make it to the play-offs to becoming the champions of the Isthmian South East campaign in 2019. The Wands were also 2nd on the league table before the 2019-20 Isthmian Premier season was cut short.
