Basford United re-sign three key players ahead of the 2021/22 season

With the 2021/22 campaign in sight, Basford United have announced the signing of new deals with three key players. Defenders Brad Gascoigne and Dom Roma and midfielder James Clifton are the latest players to commit their future to the Lions.
The trio will now be strengthening manager Steve Chettle’s midfield and defense options as they extend their stay at Greenwich Avenue.
Highly regarded for his consistency, the former Gainsborough Trinity boss Dom Roma joined Basford back in summer 2017. He has also previously enjoyed spells with Hinckley United, Tamworth, Sheffield, and Boston United.
Brad Gascoigne joined Basford late last season but managed to develop an excellent partnership with Stefan Galinski on the field.
Experienced full-back James Clifton signed with Basford from Corby Town back in May 2020 and was unable to get much playing time since the season was curtailed.
