Weymouth Confirms Joan Luque's Departure

Weymouth manager Brian Stock has announced the departure of midfielder Joan Luque from the Bob Lucas Stadium.
The 28-year old midfielder linked up with the Terras back in January from National League South side Maidstone United for whom he had scored five goals in an early start to the season. Unfortunately, the Spaniard, who started his youth career with Barcelona’s youth academy, failed to deliver the same performance playing for the Terras. He made ten appearances for the club but failed to deliver any goals or assists.
When speaking about Luque, Stock told in an interview: “He was a player we had to identify (to leave) to save some money.”
Luque’s number 27 shirt will now be worn by Cambridge United loanee Ben Worman.
