Defender Rhys Evans commits future to Blyth Spartans

Blyth Spartans defender Rhys Evans has extended his contract with the National League North club which will prolong his stay at Croft Park for the upcoming season.
Evans linked up with boss Michael Nelson’s side in June 2019 from Newcastle Benfield and has since managed to make a total of 49 appearances for the club – a number that could have been extended had both of his seasons with the Spartans not been declared null and void.
24-year-old Evans is expected to strengthen Michael Nelson’s options at the back of the field for the 2021/22 season.
