Darlington decides to keep Jamie Holmes for next season

Darlington continues to build their squad for the 2021/22 season as they extend forward Jamie Holmes’s contract with the club.
Jamie joined Darlington from Blyth Spartans two years ago and is currently recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury which he sustained during a training game at Gateshead. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the help of Quakers sports therapist Danny O’Connor.
Darlington hopes to see Holmes recover soon and be back in time for the upcoming campaign in September. Manager Alun Armstrong told the club’s website: “We know what he's capable of, and we need to give him the opportunity to show us.”
