5-0 defeat against Dagenham leaves Wealdstone manager furious

Wealdstone boss Stuart Maynard was furious to see his players not live up to his expectations yesterday after they faced a 5-0 thrashing against Dagenham and Redbridge.
Two goals each from Paul McCallum and Matt Robinson in addition to one goal by Angelo Balanta sealed the Stones’ fate as they failed to deliver a performance Maynard could be proud of. However, it is not entirely the squad’s fault considering the team is running on limited options due to several players being placed on furlough. Nonetheless, Maynard says he wanted to see more resilience from his team and that the players weren’t ‘prepared to roll their sleeves up and dig deep’.
Wealdstone has the chance to redeem themselves this Tuesday as they face Bromley FC.
