Angel Martinez forced to end football career

The announcement explains Martinez’s absence from the field with Spanish Second Division side Sabadell since the start of March.
Martinez had picked up an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury over five years ago during his time with Chesterfield back in 2015. The former Blackpool Spaniard was sidelined for 15 months following his injury before returning to action for the Spireites in 2016. He then returned to his home country and managed to endure the pain and play for Sabadell for four years despite his injury. Unfortunately, Martinez’s knee could not resist anymore and after several tests, he has been forced to end his football career.
