Dartford striker moves to Chelmsford City

Striker Charlie Sheringham is the latest arrival at Melbourne Stadium, joining Chelmsford from National League South rivals Dartford. The former Ebbsfleet United and Welling striker joins the Clarets on a one-year contract and is expected to face his former club Dartford in the upcoming season.
Sheringham scored five goals for Chelmsford City when he arrived at Melbourne Stadium last season on a six-week loan deal in November. He eventually returned to his parent club Dartford following the expiration of his contract and managed to pick up a hat-trick in the 3-0 home win over Billericay in January. The 33-year-old ended the 2020/2021 campaign with four goals from 9 appearances for the Darts under his belt.
Chelmsford City manager Robbie Simpson has assigned Sheringham the role of vice-captain heading into the next season.
