Weymouth take a huge loss as Jake McCarthy departs

Central-midfielder Jake McCarthy has decided to depart the Bob Lucas Stadium after spending nearly four years with the club. He leaves Weymouth for an offer from National League South club Havant & Waterlooville.
The 25-year-old first joined current manager Brian Stock’s side back in July 2017 when Mark Molesley was in charge of the club. He since made 182 appearances and netted 29 goals for the Terras. The former Bournemouth player was a regular for the Terras last season, having played 37 games for the club.
McCarthy was offered a new contract offer but could not seem to agree to the terms of the deal with the management. He now joins Josh Wakefield, Jordan Ngalo, Pierre Fonkeu, Ade Olumuyiwa, Jack Hoey, Alefe Santos, Jack Dickson, Myles Anderson, Cody Cooke, and Harry Burns, who have all departed Weymouth FC.
