Southend United defender moves to Oldham Athletic

Oldham Athletic have announced the signing of defender Sam Hart on a one-year deal with the League Two club.
Hart, 24, joins manager Keith Curle’s side from Southend United where he made 21 appearances for the club since joining the club in November. The former Blackburn Rovers defender was offered a new contract by the Blues which he rejected to join the Latics.
Hart started his youth career at Manchester United and Liverpool before joining the Riversiders in 2017. During his time with the Riversiders, Hart enjoyed quite a few loan spells with a number of clubs including Rochdale, Southend, and Shrewsbury before moving to Southend United in November 2020.
