Former Wrexham Player Joins Chester FC

After featuring for the Blues during the pre-season, former Wrexham man James Horsfield has signed for National League North side Chester FC on a short-term deal.
Horsfield, who can play at full-back or midfield, arrives at the Deva Stadium from Chester FC’s league rivals Wrexham, who he was most recently with during the 2020/21 campaign. The former Manchester youngster brings to the club his experience having played for Scunthorpe United, Wrexham, and NAC Breda and has also previously had loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and Dundee, amongst other clubs.
Horsfield, 25, will wear the number 15 shirt and may possibly feature for the Blues in tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Darlington.
