Southend United Looks To Appoint New Manager Soon

Following former manager Phil Brown’s departure over the weekend, Southend United are now on the hunt for a new boss and say that a new manager will be appointed soon.
Southend United chairman Ron Martin says that they’ve “got a list and are already talking to them”. We can expect a new appointment to be announced by the end of next week.
Joining Martin is director Gary Lockett, former Southend United striker Stan Collymore, and chief executive Tom Lawrence in his hunt for a new manager for the Shrimpers.
In other news, fans are still infuriated by Ron Marin’s running of the club as they protest against his ownership. However, Martin has insisted that he will not be quitting any time soon.
