Former England Goalkeeper Tim Flowers Appointed Manager At Stratford


Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Stratford Town have appointed a new manager.
Arriving at Knights Lane is former England goalkeeper Tim Flowers who has had an illustrious career as a player from 1984 to 2003. He was part of the squad that won the Premier League in 1995 with Blackburn Rovers and also earned himself 11 caps for the England national team.
Following his retirement as a player, Flowers joined Leicester and Manchester City as a goalkeeping coach before being appointed assistant manager at Coventry City in 2007. The 54-year-old went on to manage a number of different clubs at various levels including Stafford Rangers, Northampton Town, Solihull Moors, Macclesfield Town, and Barnet.
