Matt Johnson Joins Market Drayton As New Manager

Northern Premier League side Market Drayton have made a new addition to their club. Joining the Gingerbread Men as their newly appointed manager is former AFC Wulfrunians player-coach Matt Johnson. Johnson brings to Greenfields Sports Ground a wealth of playing and coaching experience in the Northern Premier League. Market Drayton has stated that their first-team coach Steve Chamberlain will continue to play his role as a part of the club’s coaching team. This is what Chairman Mick Murphy had to say about Johnson’s appointment: “Matt is well aware of the task that lies ahead in securing safety from relegation. The appointment of a new Manager has taken some time, but I needed to ensure that we made a first class appointment.”
