Cambridge United Right-Back Signs For Southend United

Southend United have announced that they have signed former Cambridge United defender Leon Davies on a contract that will keep him at the Roots Hall Football Stadium for the rest of the 2021/22 season. Davies began his career with Cambridge United at their youth academy before he signed his first professional contract with the club in 2016. During his time with the U’s, 22-year-old Davies made over 60 appearances for them and also helped them gain promotion from League Two last season. Unfortunately, Davies was unable to gain much playing time over the past year due to injuries but this new signing gives him the opportunity to get back into action. Davies will be wearing the number 27 shirt for the Blues.
