South Shields Boss Graham Fenton Sacked

Departing Mariners Park is South Shields boss Graham Fenton who has been relieved of his managerial duties with the Northern Premier League Premier Division side.
The news of Fenton’s departure came as a surprise to several Mariners fans. The news of his departure comes less than a day after South Shields picked up two wins from both of their matches in the new year as they defeated Radcliffe 2-0 at 1st Cloud Arena on Saturday.
Despite their recent wins, club chairman Geoff Thompson said that results and performances have not met their expectations this season given the investment they made in the first-team.
Academy manager Wess Brown will be leading the club on an interim basis until a suitable replacement is found for Fenton.
