Crowds of 4000 maximum to be permitted from 2nd December

A maximum of 4000 spectators are to be allowed at outdoor events again in the lowest-risk areas at the end of the current national lockdown.
It had been reported earlier today that grassroots football was set to be given the go-ahead to resume from 2nd December, and further reports this afternoon added that a tiered return to crowds in stadia was to be announced in the House of Commons.
It has now been confirmed that up to 4,000 (or 50% of capacity, whichever is lower) will be allowed in Tier 1.
In Tier 2, 2,000 will be allowed (or 50% of capacity).
