FA Trophy: Moneyfields 1-5 Truro City

TRURO City made a triumphant return to competitive action following the second national lockdown on Saturday with a 5-1 hammering of Hampshire side Moneyfields in the Buildbase FA Trophy on Saturday.
Steve Hutchings gave the hosts, who sit 17th in the Southern League Division One South, an early lead onside two minutes, but it was all downhill from there for the club from Portsmouth.
Rocky Neal was on hand to head home Dan Rooney’s cross and level the scores only two minutes later, with the next goal coming in the 54th minute when Tyler Harvey put City in front with a fine finish.
Truro made it three with Neal grabbing his second of the game on 75 minutes before Harvey made sure of progression two minutes later, with Kieran Hayes completing the rout in the final few minutes.
Truro City will learn their opponents in the second round proper of the FA Trophy on Wednesday.
The draw will be made for both the second and third rounds of the tournament, with the second round scheduled for Tuesday, December 15 and the third on December 19. Source: Matt Friday and The Packet (Picture: Cameron Weldon)
