Andrew Kimber laid to rest: family and fans mourn

Earlier this month, Sandbach United fans had to deal with the heart-breaking news of goalkeeper, Andrew Kimber, passing away. Kimber, aged 60, was a father of 2 and a grandfather of 2. He was deeply involved with the club – training senior goalkeepers, supporting women’s teams and taking on a range of duties around the place.
In his early years, Kimber was associated with Market Tavern, Goostrey and Hays Chemicals. Sandbach United is raising money to build and dedicate a spectator stand as a tribute to Kimber’s contributions to the club.
