Both Spirits And The Stakes Were Soaring This Tuesday

Tuesday housed several headline worthy moments, with four matches in one night. The season was not quite so jolly for Stockport County, who were unfortunately destroyed at Hartlepool, losing two of their players to red cards. Ash Palmer was dismissed early, which gave the hosts’ a huge advantage early on. Any hopes Stockport County had of winning were further thrashed in the second half when talisman John Rooney picked up a red card.
FC Halifax Town are certainly plunging their way into the new year with style. The Shaymen triumphed over Eastleigh 3-1, pulling off an astounding fourth win in five league matches. Kieran Green and Jamie Allen’s spectacular goals in the first half were further capped by Nyal Bell in the second, earning the team an easy victory. The Shayemen can now brag of an incredible 20 goals under their belts in the past six matches in the competition. Along with festivities, competition is certainly in the air.
