Ben Richards-Everton joins Barnet Football Club

The Club are delighted to announce the permanent signing of former Bradford City centre-back Ben Richards-Everton.

Richards-Everton moves to The Hive London with a vast amount of experience in the EFL, where he made close to 100 appearances between spells with Bradford City and Accrington Stanley. The Bees have signed the powerful centre half after the Bantams released his contract Monday evening.

It signals another move in the market for the Bees, as the Club continue to invest in bringing experienced players to the Club to help Tim Flowers turn the season around. Richards-Everton signs on a contract with the Club which will last until at least the end of the 2022-23 season with an option of a further year included in the deal.

At 6ft 5in tall, the Midlands born defender fits the bill for the type of player Tim Flowers is looking for to shore up our defence in the crucial upcoming matches. This addition adds to the height and power already brought in so far this month, with the recent arrival of former Solihull Moors defender Liam Daly.

Our latest addition has also spent time playing in Scotland, having previously made a name for himself playing in non-league football in England.

The arrival of the Birmingham born defender brings added depth and competition to places in the backline, with Matt Preston also ramping up his recovery from injury. Flowers will be hoping that the height, power and experience of the 29-year-old will play a pivotal part in the Clubs turnaround from a poor start to the season.

We are thrilled to welcome Ben to the Club and look forward to seeing him in a Bees shirt soon!  Source: Adam Rowe and Barnet Football Club
