Sheppard to Spend Temporary Time Out on Loan

Jake Sheppard (aged 23) – midfielder and attacking full-back player from Hayes & Yeading United - becomes yet another man to be loaned over to Vanarama National League. The reason for this latest time out on loan is to allow the young player to gain some game time and retain his match fitness.
Sheppard has already proven himself to be a swift, professional and resourceful performer despite his young age. He has an impressive goal-scoring record to date. While playing with Reading, he represented Scotland at youth football level as well.
However, this will not be the first loan time out for Sheppard, nor will it be his last, of course. During a period of 2 years (2016-2018), the young footballer has spent time on loan in a couple of popular clubs in the National League, including Dagenham & Redbridge, Eastbourne Borough, Guiseley AFC as well as the former-NL outfit Wealdstone. Sheppard ended up joining the last one permanently in July 2018.
Sheppard later joined Hayes & Yeading United, and even re-joined them from the Stones in 2019. Gary McCann, manager for Hampton & Richmond, has expressed great hopes for Sheppard, whom he thinks will bring versatility to whichever club he will play for, “He’s a Conference South player and beyond, making a terrific addition to the squad”.
