Chesterfield to publicise exit of several players from the club soon.

The Spireites are expected to make a public statement about the soon departure of a number of players from the club. Following the signing of twelve new incoming players by manager Jame Rowe, the Chesterfield squad swell excessively into a squad of over thirty players. Subsequently,  Chesterfield has been in the process of the release of a number of players from the club for quite some time now. With the season suspended in the National League North and National League South, these important decisions have become much tougher for the club to make.

However, there has been some financial stress on the club due to lack of funding and this puts the club in a very difficult position to make a decision about its future. A vote is yet to take place next week regarding the club’s future amidst this funding row.

Recent departures from the club include Tyler Denton and Alex Kiwomya who have joined King’s Lynn Town, Kyle Letheren who joined Morecambe, and Jordan Cropper who has reunited with his parent club, Burnley. The departures also include a number of players who have been loaned out to other clubs including Luke Rawson, Jamie Sharman, and Jack McKay.

Jonathan Smith, Scott Boden, and David Buchanan have been out of action for a long time now. Broden and Smith have not started a game since Chesterfield’s clash against Brackley Town on December 19 while Buchanan last started a game on December 1st. This puts their future in the team at risk and begs us to question whether they will be the ones to go.

In an interview manager James Rowe said that an announcement regarding the exits will be made soon by the board and their plans for the club as well.
