Weymouth sign forward player Pierre Fonkeu

Weymouth F.C has recently announced the addition of former Norwich City player, Pierre Fonkeu, to their squad. The permanent deal was signed today with Fonkeu who plays as an attacking winger.
Fonkeu, aged only 23, carries with him an impressive track record which is precisely why he has earned himself a very high rating. His career first began its flight with Belgian side Club Brugge whilst playing for their NXT academy. After showing much potential in his trials in Summer 2017, Fonkeu signed with Norwich City. After playing for the Canaries successfully for a long period, Fonkeu signed with the French football club, RC Lens. Following this, he earned himself a chance to play for the Cameroon National Team in their under 23s and got the chance to show his skills in the Africa U23 Cup of Nations. Fonkeu most recently played for Grimsby Town. His deal with Grimsby, although short, ended at the end of 2020. He has now joined the Terras and is hoping for a successful season with the club.
The club is delighted to have a man of his skill and athleticism on the team. He will be up for selection into the playing eleven for this afternoon’s clash with Notts county.
