Stockport County Signs Academy Duo


Stockport County has announced that they are delighted to welcome into their squad two fresh young academy graduates, Adam Owen and Jacky Hinchy. The pair, only 18 years of age each, are the newest graduates to sign professional full-time contracts with the National League side under the club. This makes them the fifth and sixth graduates this season who have signed professional deals.
Defender Owen has signed a contract that expires at the end of the season. He made his debut with the club when he played as a substitute during Stockport County’s clash against Fleetwood.
Hinchy, who plays as a midfielder, has signed a deal that will keep him with Edgeley Park for 18 months until the end of the 2021-22 season. He had his first experience on the field in action with Stockport County when he faced off against Premier League West Ham in the FA Cup.
In an interview assistant manager, Dave Conlon; took to congratulate Adam Owen and Jack Hinchy for making their way up the ladder by signing professionally. He mentioned that their talent, skill, and hard-work had managed to impress everyone at the club from the get-go. He praised the academy for its efforts in training the young duo and crafting such talented individuals. He personally mentioned and praised Alan and Damien for their efforts. He hopes for this to be an excellent opportunity for Owen and Hinchy to grow and develop on the progress they have made at the academy and looks forward to working with the two talented individuals.
