Barnet's clash against Halifax Town called off

Following an earlier than scheduled pitch inspection, Halifax Town’s Vanarama National League fixture at The Hive Stadium in London against Barnet F.C has been postponed. The match was initially scheduled for tomorrow but has now been postponed for a later date.

The match has been stood over, due to a waterlogged and frozen pitch that was deemed unplayable by the referee ahead of tomorrow’s match. Weather forecasts predict that the temperature is not expected to get any warmer soon, hence it was sound to postpone the match on early notice before the Bees embark on their long trip to the Hive Stadium. This saved Barnet F.C the time and trouble of coming all the way to London for a match that would not be able to take place which they can use to prepare for their fixture on Saturday.

This postponement means that the Bees are yet to play a match since their match on February 2nd against Aldershot Town where they suffered a 1-2 defeat. Their next match is scheduled to take place this weekend against Solihull Moors. The Bees could use a win this weekend against The Moors as they sit at the bottom of the leaderboard and have failed to receive even one victory in their last 14 league matches.
An interim agreement has been made between the two clubs to reschedule the postponed fixture for next Tuesday, 16th February at 7 PM. However, this agreement is yet to be confirmed by the National League. Anyone who has paid to watch the game online for tomorrow will have access to this game next week. Source:
