Dover Athletic left with no other option but to furlough squad and staff

Due to financial concerns, National League South Club, Dover Athletic has been forced to restrict their operations to a minimum by furloughing all their players and management.
The club, which is at the bottom of the leaderboard, said that they were holding off on announcing this difficult decision in hopes of a relief package being offered by the government. Unfortunately, the government announced that their support package would be in the form of loans and not grants.
The league clubs continue to vote on the future of the season but, regardless of the outcome, Dover Athletic will not be able to fulfil any of their future fixtures until funding is provided to them as all their financial reserves have been exhausted in these difficult times.
