Last-gasp winner for Lionesses
London City Lionesses went level on points with fourth-placed Liverpool with Ellie Mason’s last-gasp goal during a dramatic finish at Lewes.
Ini Umotong had given the hosts the lead but Atlanta Primus hit home the equaliser and moments later, Kallie Balfour’s half-volley turned the game on its head.
Umotong converted a late penalty to make it 2-2, only for Mason to poke home the decider for the Lionesses.
Crystal Palace blew away London Bees with four goals in ten first-half minutes during a 5-0 win.
Lauren Pickett saw her effort saved by Chloe Morgan and Helen Ward hit the rebound against the hosts’ post, before Bianca Baptiste went on a mazy run and opened the scoring.
Sarah Quantrill did well to save from Baptiste but Coral-Jade Haines followed-up to net the loose ball.
Baptiste then doubled her tally and was involved again when supplying the cross for Haines to head in her second.
Hat-tricks were denied Baptiste and Haines by offside and the post resepctvely, before the former set up Kate Natkiel to complete the scoring.
Palace are now within one point of Blackburn Rovers in seventh, the Bees a point above the bottom two having played more games than both. Source: Shekicks.Net
