Hartlepool United looking to claim eighth successive win at Victroia Park

The Bees sit second bottom in the table with just three wins in their opening 21 matches and comfortably the worst defensive record in the division with 52 goals conceded.

Barnet haven’t won on the road since the opening week of the season and make the 240-mile trip up to Victoria Park to face a Pools side who have won their last seven home matches.

Dave Challinor’s are third in the National League table and are eyeing an eighth straight home win to bounce back from a frustrating draw at Wrexham on Tuesday night.

But to do that, Hartlepool will have to put an end to their BT Sport ‘curse’ on Saturday evening.

Pools haven’t had much luck when their matches have been broadcast live in recent seasons with a 5-0 home defeat to Torquay United and a half-time abandonment at Eastleigh being their two televised matches so far in 2020-21.

“We were back at it on Thursday preparing for a tough game against a side fighting at the bottom,” Challinor said.

"We’ve got to right some wrongs from our last TV performance so we want to make sure we try and win our eighth on the spin at The Vic.

“It’s quite obvious that we need our away form to be better and pick up points and we’ve got to get the points we deserve from games. If we win at home on Saturday then you think the draw at Wrexham is not too bad a point.” Source: https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/
