Hendon 1 Tiverton Town 2
After a five hour trip due to motorway closures the Tiverton coach arrived at the Hendon ground at two thirty five with the kick off being delayed to three fifteen . The lack of time to warm up and prepare showed and Tivvy fell behind in the ninth minute when a ball through split the Tivvy defence and Joe White put Hendon 1-0 up. The game was a bit bity with the ref blowing up a bit to much in my opinion which was affecting the flow of the game. On eighteen minutes Hendon cleared another Tivvy attack and the ball fell to Dan Hayfield who lobbed the keeper from thirty five yards to make the score 1-1. The game became really open and both teams had chances but the half ended 1-1. Tiverton started the second half the better of the two teams and had a couple of early chances but they could not find a way through the home defence. On fifty four minutes the game was halted for treatment to Aaron Dawson who received a nasty head wound which was flowing blood. When the game re started Tivvy continued to dominate and limited Hendon to a couple of chances on the break. Tiverton made a couple of substitutions which added to the pressure on the home defence. Olaf Koszela went on a run that beat three defenders before putting his shot just wide of the goal. Four minutes later and Tivvy got the goal they deserved when a long range effort from Louis Morison found the back of the net to put Tiverton 2-1 in front. With a minute of normal time left a mass bundle involving all the players and some of the coaching staff ended with Hendon having a player sent off for what looked like a headbutt on Tiverton defender Gary Warren. The final minutes were played out without incident and the final score was
