Tiverton Town 3 Dorchester Town 0

Tiverton were looking to bounce back from Wednesdays home defeat with a win  against inform Dorchester Town. The Tivvy squad  included Jake Johnson and Shay Corrick who are both products of the Tiverton Town Development Squad under 18s side. On ten minutes a great pass by Tom Purrington found Niall Thompson but his shot was blocked by the Dorchester defence and cleared away to safety. Tiverton continued to have more of the attacking play and a sweeping move across the pitch found Dylan Jones who cut into the Dorchester box but his shot went  narrowly wide of the far post. Dorchester had to wait until the sixteenth minute to record their first effort on goal but the shot went high and wide of its target. Three minutes later and Tom Purrington was brought down in the box and the referee awards Tivvy a penalty. Up stepped Louis Morison who sent the keeper the wrong way to put Tiverton 1-0 up. This was followed by another good Tivvy move with Niall Thompson playing in Nelson Iseguan who has rejoined Tivvy on loan from Exeter City and his run down the line and cross was met by Thompson who headed the ball down  to Tom  Purrington but again the Dorchester keeper was on hand to save the day for the visitors. Tiverton continued to have all the attacking play and another good move involving Niall Thompson and Nelson Iseguan finished with the latter seeing his shot saved by the keeper. With two minutes left of the first half Tivvy were awarded another penalty and again Louis Morison converted  to make the halftime score 2-0.
The second half sprung into life in the fifty six minute when Dorchester were awarded a penalty after a scramble in the Tivvy box. Josh Jones was booked for disputing the penalty kick. The resulting kick was brilliantly saved by Lewis Williams in the Tivvy goal and a quick breakaway up field resulted in a corner for the home side. The corner was floated into the Dorchester box and Jamie Richards was on hand to head Tivvy into a 3-0 lead. On sixty five minutes Tivvy made their first change with Lucas Vowles replacing Nelson Iseguan. Kane Simpson then went close with a header as Tivvy looked to increase their lead. Dorchester were then awarded a free kick which Josh Jones was shown his second yellow card of the game and was sent off. The free kick was well saved by Lewis Williams. With Tiverton down to ten men they made another change with Tom Purrington being replaced by Craig Woodman in a bid to keep Dorchester at bay. Dylan Jones then went close for Tivvy but his header went inches wide of the far post. Kane Simpson was then put through on goal from  a Lucas Vowles pass but his chip shot was tipped away by the advancing keeper. With two minutes of normal time left Niall Thompson was replaced by Tivvy under 18s player Jake Johnson who was making his league debut. The referee indicated that there would be six minutes of added on time and Dorchester went close to a consolation goal but Tivvy held out to record a clean sheet. Final score
