Weston Super Mare are five points clear at the top of the Southern League Premier Division and also have two games in hand on their nearest rivals after a 3-1 win against Dorchester Town. Those nearest rivals in second place Truro City were beaten 3-2 at Swindon Supermarine. Chesham United missed the chance to close the gap on Truro even more when they were held at home to a 2-2 draw by Harrow Borough. Poole Town moved into fourth place after a good 2-0 win at Bracknell which saw the home side drop to fifth place in the table. Other away wins saw Tiverton win 1-0 at Salisbury Met Police win 2-0 at Gosport Borough and North Leigh win 3-0 at Merthyr Town. There were home wins for Hayes and Yeading United who beat Hanwell 1-0 and Plymouth Parkway beat Yate Town 2-1. Other results ended in draws with Beaconsfield and Hendon drawing 1-1 and Hartley Wintney against Winchester City also finished 1-1.
In Division One South league leaders Sholing were held to a 2-2 draw at Cinderford Town this gave second place Totton the opportunity to close the gap on the leaders which they did with a 2-1 win at Willand Rovers. Third place Hamworthy won 3-1 at home against Exmouth Town while fourth place Wimborne Town were surprisingly beaten at home 5-0 by Bashley. This gave fifth place Tavistock the chance to close the gap on the leading pack which they did with a 2-1 win at Bristol Manor Farm. Another away win saw Bishops Cleave win 4-2 at Paulton Rovers. Other results saw home wins for Bideford 2-0 against Frome Town Larkhall Athletic 2-1 against Evesham United Lymington 3-0 against Westbury and Melksham Town beat Slimbridge 3-2.
