Southern League Premier Division South and Division One South


Another win for Weston Super Mare this time a 1-0 victory at Winchester City saw them stretch their lead at the top of the Southern League Premier Division to six points as their closest rivals in second place Truro City went down 2-1 at Merthyr Town. Third place Bracknell Town closed the gap at the top with a 2-0 win against Dorchester Town. Fourth place Chesham United were held to a 2-2 draw at home against Hanwell Town. Poole Town who are in fifth place were also held to a draw at home when their game with the Met Police ended 1-1.
There were away wins for Beaconsfield Town 3-0, at Hartley Wintney and North Leigh 3-1 at Yate Town. Plymouth Parkway won at home by a 2-1 scoreline against Swindon Supermarine. The remaining results both ended in draws with Hendon and Tiverton Town drawing 2-2 while Gosport Borough and Salisbury ended 0-0.
In Division One South top of the table Sholing were beaten 3-2 at Tavistock this gave second place Totton the opportunity to close the gap on the leaders which they did in fine style beating Bideford 8-1. Third place Hamworthy were 1-0 winners at Exmouth Town to keep up their promotion push. Fourth place Wimborne Town dropped valuable points when they were held to a 0-0 draw against Evesham United. Fifth place Bashley did not have a game. Larkhall Athletic beat Bristol Manor Farm 2-1 while Melksham Town had a good 4-0 win at Cinderford Town. The remaining two games both ended in 2-2 draws between Lymington and Bishops Cleave and Willand Rovers and Frome Town.
