Tiverton Town 1 Hendon 0

With Hendon looking for the points that would   move them away from the relegation zone it was always going to be a close game. The first chance of the game fell to Hendon when Lewis Williams in the Tivvy goal was called into action to save with his feet at the near post. The visitors saw more of the ball in the first ten minutes but didn't really threaten the Tivvy goal. With fourteen minutes gone there was a moment of concern as Tivvy forward Niall Thompson collided with the perimeter wall around the pitch banging his head after a hefty challenge from the Hendon defender. But luckily after treatment he was able to continue. As the game went on Tiverton came more into it and created a couple of half chances without really testing Aymen Azaze in the Hendon goal. On twenty minutes Tivvy's best effort so far fell to Pedro Borges but he scooped his shot over the bar. Hendon number eleven Rohdell Gordon was shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Niall Thompson. The resulting free kick was cleared by the Hendon defence but it fell to Tivvy's  Pedro Borges who's long range effort went inches wide of the target. This was the last real chance of the half and the teams went in all level at 0-0. Hendon started the second half like they did the first with a early effort on goal but again Lewis Williams was on hand to save the day for Tivvy.  Tiverton changed things around with Nelson Iseguan and River Allen replacing Lucas Vowles and Craig Woodman in a bid to find the all important first goal. It seemed to work as Tom Purrington went close with a low shot that went just wide of the far post as Tivvy stepped up a gear. Purrington then went close again when a Borges cross found his head but his header was well saved by keeper Azaze. Tivvy made their final change with Tom Purrington being replaced by Cameron Salmon who was making his Tiverton debut. With three minutes left of normal time Tivvy finally made the breakthrough when Dylan Jones finished off a good move to put Tiverton 1-0  up. The ref indicated that there would be four minutes of added on time. It was Tivvy who looked the more likely to score again and probably would have but for a last man challenge by Hendon's  Palmer stopped Thompson in his tracks and he was shown a straight red card for the foul. The resulting free kick was curled around the wall by Niall Thompson but it went straight into the keepers Arms and the game ended with Tiverton claiming all three points.
