Tiverton Town 1 Gosport Borough 0

Gosport Borough travelled to Devon to take on Tiverton Town knowing three points would lift them away from the relegation zone. It was Tivvy who started the brightest and a early chance fell to Lucas Vowles from a Dylan Jones long throw but his header  went over the Borough bar. Tiverton dominated the opening minutes and Gosport didn't threaten the Tivvy goal until the fourteenth minute but their first chance went high and wide of the target. As the half went on Gosport came more into the game but neither team really had a worthy attempt on goal and goalmouth action was scarce. Nelson Iseguan put in a hard but fair tackle on the Gosport number seven which left the player on the floor and after some treatment he was carried off. A few minutes later and Iseguan was also forced to leave the pitch due to a injury picked up in the tackle. He was replaced by River Allen. With not much going on infront of goal it was no surprise that the half finished 0-0.
With five minutes gone in the second half a foul on Tom Purrington just outside the Gosport box gave Tivvy the opportunity to put the ball into the box and when it arrived Ed James was on hand to head Tiverton into a 1-0 lead. Tivvy had a couple of chances to double their lead when first Joe Belsten and then Niall Thompson had efforts saved by the Gosport keeper. Next it was Jamie Richards who had a chance to increase the Tiverton lead but his header went straight into the arms of the keeper. The game got a bit fiesty will both teams putting some hard tackles. Tiverton made their second change of the game with Niall Thompson being replaced by Cameron Salmon. Gosport battled but they couldn't find a way past the Tiverton defence. Tivvy made their final change with issac McCue replacing Tom Purrington for the final few minutes as Tivvy saw the game out.
