Tiverton Town Under 18s Reach The Semi-Finals

Tiverton Town under 18s are through to the semi finals of the Somerset Covid Cup after a great display in very difficult conditions against Ruishton.With torrential rain falling from the start the yellows came out all guns blazing. When Ruishton did get into the Tivvy half they found a strong defence in their way.Tivvy looked threatening every time they went forward and took the lead in the 20th minute when Dan Otieno scored from a difficult angle.This was followed by two quick goals from Ollie Simkin and Nathan Mairs to make the half time score 3-0 to Tiverton. The second half was very much the same as the first with Tivvy controlling the game. Ruishton pulled one back twenty five minutes into the second half but five minutes later Tiverton were awarded a penalty which Luke Paramore dispatched with ease. Luke did not have to wait long for his second and Tivvys fifth when he slotted home from close range.With time running out Ruishton were awarded a penalty which was converted to make the final score Tiverton Town 5 Ruishton 2.Both teams played their part in a really entertaining game in very difficult conditions. Well played both teams .
