Martin Ingram Memorial Cup

Sadly on the 12th of August last year Martin Ingram who was to be the Tiverton Town under 18s manager passed away. The Martin Ingram Memorial Cup will be contested by Tivvy U18s and Taunton Town U18s at Ladysmead the home of Tiverton Town fc. Martin was well known throughout the south west in footballing circles. Football development and in particular youth football was his passion. Both clubs are excited to be playing in memory of Martin. With the game being played on the first anniversary of his death the winners will be presented with a trophy from his son Simon who played for Taunton Town. This will now become a annual event with next years game being played at the home of Taunton Town. Entry to the game on the 12th will be £5 with all takings being split between Cancer Research and St Margrets Taunton Hospice where Martin has looked after. It will be a fitting tribute to a man who was liked by so many and had done so much for youth football in the south west. Please come along and support this special event and watch what I suspect a very good game of football.
