Tiverton Town V Bideford Pre - Season Friendly

This was Tivvys second game In three days and their last pre-season friendly before the season starts on the 14th of August.Both teams started brightly and on ten minutes a Austen Booth volley was saved by the Bideford keeper. Both teams had chances without either keeper really being tested but on thirty three minutes Bideford should have scored when Tivvy keeper Lewis Williams dropped a cross at the feet of the Visitors player who somehow put the ball over the bar from three yards out. The first half ended with no score. Two minutes into the second half and the best chance of the game fell to Bideford but the ball smashes against the bar and was cleared away by the Tivvy defence. Both teams made several changes and one of Tivvys was Olaf Koszela who has signed on loan from Torquay United. Olaf scored two goals In eight appearances for Tiverton In the 2019/20 season and will be a great asset to the team and on eighty six minutes Koszela nearly scored after being put through by Matt Wright but a great save from the Bideford keeper kept him out. Both teams battled hard but could not find the winning goal.
