Tiverton Town 3 Plymouth Parkway 1

Both teams fielded under strength teams for this Devon St Luke's Cup tie with both clubs having a eye on big FA Trophy games coming up at the weekend. Tiverton Town Development Squad  player Luke Paramore followed in the footsteps of other Youth team players Dillon Croft, Noah Brown and Jimmy Weeks when he was promoted to the first team squad for the match with Plymouth Parkway.  The visitors got the game underway and on four minutes they had the first shot of the match which was comfortably  dealt with by Jimmy weeks in the Tivvy goal.  Tivvy broke quickly with Olaf Koszela  racing down the wing but his cross was blocked and went out for a corner. The resulting corner was taken short and when it was put into the box it was cleared with ease.  Another Tiverton  attack was stopped when Tyler Coombes in the Plymouth goal raced out to clear the ball  but his clearance hit Koszela on the  head and went  towards the goal but it was not strong enough to reach the goal and was cleared. A quick breakaway by Parkway caught Tivvy off guard but the resulting shot went just wide of the goal. On fifteen minutes  a great run down the line and cross  from Tivvys Marcus Fanson found  Jordan Lam but his ball into the box was cleared by the Plymouth defence. Two minutes  later and Alex Moyes lost the ball on the edge of the box  and bleasdale  struck to put the visitors 1-0 up. Plymouth were looking confident after they scored and a long range effort was on target but Weeks saved it comfortably.  A quick move from Tiverton saw Lam race down the line  his pass found Issac Mccue  who fed Koszela who saw his shot well saved by Coombes in the visitors goal. Another Tivvy chance saw Austen Booth head just wide. Tiverton  were seeing more of the ball and Koszela robbed the Parkway defender and his cross come shot had the keeper  scrambling but the ball went just over the bar. A Fanson cross was cleared off the line as Tivvy went all out for a equaliser. On thirty five  minutes  Plymouth  made a change Rose being injured  and was replaced by number fifteen.  A couple of minutes later and Tivvys Austen Booth  goes down off the ball and is replaced by Aaron Dawson. Just before halftime a brilliant  double save from Coombes  meant his side went in at halftime 1-0, to the good. Plymouth made two  substitutions at half time.  The first chance of the second half saw McCue put Koszela  through on goal but his shot went wide. On fithty one minutes  Tivvy made a double substitution with Chris Shephard and Andy Watkins coming on and McCue  and Woodman going off. Tiverton  were starting to control the game and Lam was fouled in the box and the ref pointed to the spot.  Louis Morison  smashed the resulting penalty into the back of the net to make the score 1-1. Plymouth  made  another change with Matt Andrew coming on and Bleasdale going off. The game was really open now with both teams creating chances and on eighty four minutes  a Shephard  corner seem to go  in off the goalie  but was credited to Koszela  to put Tivvy 2-1 up.  Three minutes later and it was 3-1 when Koszela struck again.  In the final minute Koszela saw  his header smack against  the bar and the rebound  was saved by the keeper. Jordan Lam picked up a late Injury  and Tivvy finished the game with ten men. Final score Tiverton Town 3 Plymouth Parkway  1
