Southern League Premier Division South And Division One South


Hayes and Yeading United went back to the top of the Premier table after a 4-1 away win at Wimborne Town. Met Police dropped to second place after being held to a 0-0 draw by Truro City. Third place Taunton Town are just a point behind Met Police after a good 3-1 home win against Chesham United. Farnborough are in fourth place after a 1-1 draw with Weston Super Mare. Chesham's defeat against Taunton sees them in fifth place in the table. Yate Town kept their faint play off Hope's alive with a good 2-1 win at Hendon. Another team with faint play off Hopes are Poole Town who won 2-1 against Hartley Wintney. Tiverton Town continued their recent good form with a 2-1 home win against Harrow Borough. Swindon Supermarine and Beaconsfield Town drew 2-2 in a mid table clash while the teams in the bottom half of the table had mixed results with Dorchester Town winning 2-1 at Kings Langley to keep their hope of avoiding the drop alive. Salisbury suffered a 2-0 defeat at Walton Casuals. Merthyr Town were beaten at home 2-1 by Gosport Borough.
In Division One South there were victory's for the top three as leaders Frome Town won 2-0 at Mangotsfield while second place Cirencester won 3-0 at Larkhall Athletic. Third place Bristol Manor Farm won 2-1 at fourth place Totton. Winchester City are in fifth place after losing 1-0 against Plymouth Parkway. Bideford were 2-0 winners against Slimbridge. Highworth Town were another side to win at home when they beat Melksham Town 1-0. The remaining games all ended even with Evesham United and Sholing drawing 2-2. The same scoreline meant Paulton and Lymington shared the points. Willand Rovers and Barnstaple Town drew 1-1.
