Swindon Supermarine 2 Tiverton Town 0

Both teams went into today's game with nothing but pride to play for. Tivvy included development squad under 18s  player Luke Paramore in their matchday squad as they went looking to end the season with a win. Swindon got the game underway with the first few minutes of the game seeing the ball go up and down the pitch with nothing really happening in front of goal. The first chance of the game came on six minutes when Lewis Williams was forced into saving with his legs as Swindon looked to open the scoring. Tiverton were playing the ball around well but they weren't testing Martin Horsell in the Swindon goal. On fourteen minutes Tivvy were awarded a free kick which Gary Warren took but his ball into the box was cleared out by the Swindon defence and ended up with Theo Simpson who went down the line and his cross come shot floated just wide of the Swindon goal. A quick Swindon break saw Ryan Campbell fire a shot which was deflected over the Tiverton bar for a corner. The corner found the head of Tyrone Duffus but Lewis  Williams was on hand to save the day for Tiverton with another fine stop. Orlando Anker found some space on the wing and his low cross to the near post was met by Theo Simpson  but his shot was well saved by Horsell in the Swindon goal. On thirty six minutes Olando Anker played the ball to Joe Belsten on the edge of the Swindon box and his shot was heading for the Swindon net until Horsell tipped it over the bar for a Tiverton corner. The resulting corner found the head of Jordan Lam but his header went just wide of the goal. The last action of the half saw Swindon make a change with Britton being replaced by Mitchell  as the first half ended 0-0.
Tiverton got the second half underway as both teams looked to make the breakthrough.  On fifty minutes the breakthrough  came when Swindon were awarded a free kick about twenty yards out from the Tiverton box.
The ball was played out to the wing and then quickly played into the Tivvy box and expertly finished off by Kieran Phillips to put Swindon 1-0 up. A couple of minutes later   Phillips was through again with only Williams to beat but he blasted his shot high over the Tivvy bar. Tiverton made their first change of the game with Olando Anker being replaced by Jin Heon. Fifty six minutes gone and Tiverton had a corner which found the head of Gary Warren  but his header came back off the bar and was cleared away by the home side as far as Louis Morison who saw his low shot across the goal mouth go inches wide of the post. Goal number two came in the sixty six minute when Ryan Campbell made it 2-0 to Swindon. Tiverton then made another change with Theo Simpson being replaced by Tiverton Town Development Squad  player Luke Paramore who was making his Southern League debut. With eleven minutes left Tiverton went close when Heon was played through and looked to go around the keeper who managed to stick out a leg which stopped the ball and Heon in his  tracks. Tiverton continued to look for a way back into the game  but Swindon dealt with their attacks with ease and ran out comfortable winners.
