Tiverton Town 5 Torridgeside 0

Tiverton Town Under 18s Development Squad had four players selected to join the 1st team squad for the Devon St Lukes Bowl tie against Torridgeside. Up stepped Ollie Saunders, Jack Fanning, Luke Paramore and Drew Sloan who have all been impressive playing for the under 18s this season. It was Tiverton who got the game underway and a early Jordan Lam effort which was well saved by Elljah Clarke in the Torridgeside goal was a sign of things to come. Tivvy were having more of the ball and were playing it around well but just couldn't find the finishing touch.
On twenty two minutes a Dylan Jones shot was turned onto the Torridgeside bar by Clarke to keep the scoreline blank. Next it was Lucas Vowles who nearly got the opening goal for Tiverton with a good run into the box but his shot was well saved again by Clarke. With Twenty five minutes on the clock Dylan Jones put a lovely cross into the Torridgeside box which was met by Jordan Lam to finally put Tiverton 1-0 up. Jones nearly got a quick second goal for Tivvy but his low shot went inches wide of the far post. Tiverton continued to put pressure on the Torridgeside goal  with Lucas Vowles going close but again Clarke was there to deny Tiverton goal number two. As the game went into the last minute of the half  Tiverton thought they had scored but it was ruled out for offside. The referee had the last say of the half when he showed the  Torridgeside number five a straight red card for a foul and this brought the first half to a end. The second half was very much like the first with Tiverton dominating the game but they had to wait until the seventy eighth minute to get their second goal when a Louis Morison free kick beat the wall and the keeper to make it 2-0. Tiverton then made a couple of changes with Tivvy under 18s players Jack Fanning and Luke Paramore joining under 18s team mate Ollie Saunders on the field of play. And it was very quickly 3-0 when Alfie Moulden cut inside  the box and from a tight angle managed to beat the keeper to finally kill the game off. With five minutes left Tiverton were awarded a penalty which Louis Morison converted to make it 4-0. And in the final minute Jordan Lam played in Luke Paramore who calmly slotted home goal number five to make the final score
