Devon County Under 18s Cup 1st Round


Tiverton Town Under 18s Development Squad started the cup tie against Ipplepen at a fast pace and they took the lead on five minutes when Seb Copp found space in the Ipplepen defence and cooly finished to put Tivvy 1-0 in front. Seven minutes later and Seb Copp had his second of the game to put Tiverton 2-0 up. Ipplepen had a good chance to pull one back on twenty minutes but Tivvy keeper Ollie Saunders dived to his right to push the ball away and Tiverton broke quickly but were stopped in their tracks by a foul. From the resulting free kick taken by Callum Woodman the ball found the head of Jack Fanning but his header went inches wide of the far post. Tiverton were in total control of the game at this point and made a couple of changes Jack Carpenter being replaced by Levi Burt who with his first chance headed just over the Ipplepen bar. Next it was the turn of Stan Jenkins to go close for Tiverton but his low shot accross the box went inches wide of the far post. Seb Copp nearly got his third of the game but his shot was well saved by Sam Medland in the Ipplepen goal. On forty minutes Tivvy finally got their third goal when Callum Woodman put the ball into the box and Jack Fanning smashed his header into the net to make the halftime score 3-0.
Tiverton made three changes for the start of the second half with Reece Miles Harry Pryce and Tom Maynard coming on. Goal number four came just after that when Harry Pryce played Seb Copp in to complete his hattrick and make it 4-0. Tiverton changed things around again with Zac Oloughlin coming on. On seventy five minutes Tom Maynard found Seb Copp who got his fourth to put Tivvy 5-0 up. A couple minutes later and a Reece Miles corner was tapped in by Jack Carpenter to make the final score
