Beaconsfield Town 1 Tiverton Town 2

Tiverton travelled to Holloways Park the home of Beaconsfield Town for this Southern League Premier Division South tie with new signing Ollie Mehew making his debut for the yellows. The first chance of the game came on four minutes and fell to Beaconsfield number nine Nathan Minhas who's quick turn and shot was saved by Lewis Williams. Tivvy's first attempt on goal came in the eighth minute when Alfie Moulden broke through the home defence but his shot was easily saved by Constable in the Beaconsfield goal. Beaconsfield were having the best of the early exchanges and a cross from Kyel Reid found the head of Nathan Minhas but Lewis Williams was there to save the day for Tiverton. Reid again found a way through the Tivvy defence and his shot across the box just needed a touch but luckily for Tiverton nobody was on hand to finish it off. The home side were having more of the attacking play but a rare Tivvy break saw Alfie Moulden break away down the line and put in a cross which found Leighton Thomas but his header went just wide of the far post. As the game went on Tiverton came more into the game and had a couple of half chances but didn't really test the home keeper. A short corner from Beaconsfield found their number ten Eitel Goueth who's curling shot went just wide of the Tiverton goal. On thirty three minutes a good move started by Alfie Moulden who played the ball to Niall Thompson who put in a great cross which found the head of Tom Purrington to give Tiverton a 1-0 lead. Beaconsfield looked for a quick reply and were awarded a free kick on the edge of the Tiverton box after a foul by Tivvy skipper Jamie Richards. The resulting free kick went high and wide of the Tivvy goal. Matt Britton was shown a yellow card for a late challenge as the home side piled on the pressure and with only a minute left of the first half Beaconsfield got their equaliser when Aaron Minhas finished off a good move to make the halftime score 1-1. Tiverton made a halftime substitution with Craig Woodman replacing Matt Britton. The change seemed to pay off as straight from the kick off a free kick from Joe Belsten found Josh Jones who's looping header went over the keepers head and into the net to put Tiverton 2-1 up. Beaconsfield were given a chance to get a quick reply when Lewis Williams was shown a yellow card for time wasting and a in direct free kick was awarded to Beaconsfield inside the Tiverton area. The ball was played into the Tivvy six yard box but was cleared away by the defence for a throw in to Beaconsfield. The resulting long throw into the Tiverton box was again cleared away by the defence. Tiverton made their second change of the game with Dylan Jones replacing Alfie Moulden. Beaconsfield continued to pressure the Tivvy defence and a long range effort from Reid went close for the home side but went just wide of the far post. Leighton Thomas had the ball in the back of the Beaconsfield net but it was ruled out for a foul on the Beaconsfield defender. A minute later and Thomas was through again but his shot went just wide of the target. Josh Jones was booked by the ref when he questioned why the ref hadn't let Lewis Williams receive treatment when he was down injured. Kane Simpson replaced Leighton Thomas as Tiverton looked to wind down the clock. There was a lot of off the ball pushing and shoving going on and niggling fouls and the ref seemed to lose control of things. With time running out Josh Jones was shown his second yellow card of the game and Tiverton had to play out the remaining minutes with ten men. Beaconsfield battled hard but could not break down the ten men of Tiverton and the game ended
